Trusted Adults

What are trusted adults

Trusted adults are individuals who are relied upon for guidance, support, and protection by children, teenagers, or vulnerable individuals. These individuals can include parents, guardians, teachers, mentors, family members, counselors, coaches, or any other responsible adults who are seen as reliable and supportive figures in a person’s life.

Trusted adults play a crucial role in providing emotional support, offering advice, and helping young people navigate various challenges they may face, such as peer pressure, academic stress, or personal issues. They are often seen as confidants whom individuals feel comfortable turning to in times of need or uncertainty.

Building trust with young people is essential for trusted adults. This trust is cultivated through open communication, empathy, consistency, and demonstrating genuine care and concern for the well-being of the individual. By being trustworthy and dependable, these adults can positively influence the lives of those under their guidance, helping them develop resilience, confidence, and essential life skills.
