It All Starts In Kindergarten…

Who knew 2020 would bring us so many challenges and reflections on life.  As Robert Fulghun wrote “All I really need to know I learned in kindergarten.” who would of realized that his words would ring so true.

From washing hands to how to teach one another…We are all living in an unprecedented global pandemic that will truly leave a lasting imprint on this society for generations to talk about and hopefully learn through..  There has been  so much fear, hate and uncertainty that is being projected through nations and through the global highway of our times, the wonderful “internet and social media”. Parenting has never been more challenging, nor more important than now. Our children learn from us- if we are fearful, they will be fearful, if we scream or “post” hate, they will follow suit.

This isn’t about politics, whos right or whos’ wrong, who’s left or who’s right….It’s about controlling our actions, how we treat one another, accepting differences and choosing to pass down integrity and respect. Don’t we want that…. This issue is titled Actions and Accountability, and it’s  based off of our first lesson in our MASK E3 Institute programming we teach children about… starting in kindergarten….  Every action has a reaction and accountability that we are responsible for. End of story.

We can choose to blame our actions on others, or take responsibility and change outcomes. It has to start somewhere… it has to start changing now…our kids are watching, they are learning…they are our future….and it starts with us.

Thank you Robert for these words…

“Share everything.

Play fair.

Don’t hit people.

Put things back where you found them.

Clean up your own mess.

Don’t take things that aren’t yours.

Say you’re sorry when you hurt somebody.

Wash your hands before you eat.

Flush.

Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you.

Live a balanced life –

Learn some and think some

And draw and paint and sing and dance

And play and work everyday some.

Take a nap every afternoon.

When you go out into the world,

Watch out for traffic,

Hold hands and stick together.

Be aware of wonder.”
